Welcome Home
We are a church established in 1703 with a long history of reaching our neighborhood and the surrounding areas with the Gospel message. We are a faith community that would like to empower you to walk in love, be imitators of Christ, be encouraged, empowered and supported as you venture through this life. Our goal is to enable you to connect deeply and richly with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and live a transformed life to be a light of hope to the world.

See Why Easter Matters
Holy Week & Easter at First Congregational Church of Rochester
First Congregational Church of Rochester invites you to take part in a meaningful and uplifting journey through Holy Week and Easter.
The week begins with a Maundy Thursday service at 7:00 PM, offering a quiet and reflective time to remember the events leading up to Easter. The following evening, Good Friday at 7:00 PM, continues with a solemn service focused on the significance of the crucifixion.
On Easter Sunday, April 5, the celebration begins early with a Sunrise Worship service at 7:30 AM, marking the joy of the resurrection at the start of the day. Afterward, you are invited to gather for an Easter Breakfast at 8:30 AM, a time of fellowship and community (please let the church know if you plan to attend).
The morning concludes with the main Easter Worship service at 10:00 AM, centered on the message of hope and renewal through the resurrection of Jesus.
Whether you join for one service or the entire week, you’ll find a welcoming environment to reflect, connect, and celebrate the true meaning of Easter.
Rochester Church Historic Buildings Restoration
Will you help preserve our historic Church? We’re raising funds to restore the exterior of the 200-year-old First Congregational Church of Rochester—a cherished town landmark in need of essential repairs due to age and weather.
Thanks to generous contributions, significant support has already been pledged. However, an additional $80,000 is needed before work can begin.
We invite our members and the wider community to join us in this important effort. Your donation will help safeguard this historic building for generations to come.
